Stephanie and Tyson’s beautiful Sanctuary wedding

March 26th, 2012 - Posted in Previous Blog | No Comments »

The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain was a beautiful as ever on Stephanie and Tyson’s big day. The flowers were incredible, the weather perfect, and the bride and groom were as happy and gorgeous as could be. Wedding photographers Anne McCarthy and Doug Williams had plenty of time to get creative! Since the couple decided to see each other before the ceremony (something that I often recommend), we had lots of time to tour around the beautiful grounds getting amazing photos. Congratulations Stephanie and Tyson! And here are the great wedding professionals that helped pull it all off:

Flowers: Flowers by Jodi
Hair and Make Up: Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Spa
Dress: Pricilla of Boston
DJ: SKM Entertainment

My mission to Haiti

March 13th, 2012 - Posted in Previous Blog | 1 Comment »

This winter I had the privilege of going on a mission to Haiti with a wonderful relief organization called Food for the Poor. It was a trip that changed my life forever. What I saw was devastating. 90% poverty, families living in deplorable conditions, homeless children wandering the streets. A massive undertaking to rebuild Haiti has been underway since the January 2010 earthquake, but it seemed little progress has been made. Red Cross tents are everywhere. Unicef is there. And the relief organization I went with has a headquarters and feeding center that serves meals round the clock. It was happy to be able to get on the front lines and help where I could. We also helped build houses, distributed clothing, visited a school funded by Food for the Poor. The organization even provided us with a security detail, so we felt pretty safe. Most of these pictures were taken with my Iphone, as I didn’t bring my professional camera gear. I was so moved by the Haitian people, and what I experienced, I will be going back again in December on my second mission. It made me realize how truly blessed I am to have a roof over my head, clothes on my back and a comfortable bed to sleep in every night.

Mila & Rod’s beautiful Villa Siena wedding

March 11th, 2012 - Posted in Previous Blog | No Comments »

What a fabulous day we had at Mila and Rob’s wedding at the beautiful Villa Siena in Gilbert, Arizona! It was so nice meeting all her family that had flown in from Russia. The florals were amazing – pink and coral – my favorites. And I loved Mila’s dress! So stylish and romantic. And her second dress was adorable too! I have to say, we never get tired of sparkler exits at the end of a wedding. Totally fun! Congratulations Mila and Rod!
And we have to recognize these fabulous wedding professionals who made things run so smoothly:
Officiant: Reverand Giovanni
Caterer: Park Avenue Catering
Harpest: Vee Ronna

Wendy & Matt’s beautiful Grayhawk Golf Club wedding

March 2nd, 2012 - Posted in Previous Blog | No Comments »

Scottsdale’s Grayhawk Golf Club is always so beautiful! The grounds, the lake, the flowers! And Wendy and Matt look great amongst all that beauty! They exchanged their vows on a beautiful lawn overlooking the lake, mountains and such gorgeous desert landscaping. Many thanks to Shelly and Brian (a wedding we photographed in December) for referring this great couple. And what a great job Callie at Grayhawk did in making sure the wedding went off without a hitch! It was also great working with DJ Nick Kraintz again. He kept that party going for sure! Congratulations Wendy and Matt!
