What a joy it was to photograph a wedding at my own church, St Andrews Catholic church on Ray and the 101 in Chandler. It has such a special place in my heart and so do this couple, Cory and Beth. Such genuine people. True soulmates to each other. Earlier in the year Cory and Beth and I had found some old rail cars to do some engagement photos – what fun that was. And then, the big day… early in June – such a beautiful church service, and then on to one of my favorite venues, Villa Siena in Gilbert…. always so beautiful. The florals were amazing. Provided by Events by First Rose. And such the reception was a blast thanks to Ray the DJ! One of my favorite all time moments of the wedding – or for that matter any wedding, was when Beth’s grandfather read a special message to the bride – so touching!! Congratulations Beth and Cory!
We love it when people choose Arizona as their spot for a destination wedding! Expecially this couple from Oregon. Josh and Ashlyn were absolutely adorable – and so in love! Their wedding was held at Gilbert’s georgeous Villa Siena, with a simple, but elegant indoor wedding and a beautiful outdoor reception. Congratulations Ashlyn and Josh!
By the end of May when things were heating up, Julianne and Jason got lucky with a gorgeous day for their Spring wedding. They were surrounded by loving family as they said their vows at the beautiful St. Lukes Catholic Church. Afterwards, we headed for Scottsdale’s beautiful Troon North Golf Club for their late afternoon reception…. which finished just in time for the most amazing sunset! As is typical for the Arizona desert, the sky turned the most brilliant red ever! What a way to end the day! Congratulations Julianne and Jason!
We met Kristin and Dennis more than a year ago! They had come Sassi’s open house in search of a wedding photographer and met One Fine Day Photography’s Doug Williams. Then we bumped into them again a few months later at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain’s open house event. This time they met with me – Anne McCarthy. As two of One Fine Day Photography’s main head photographers, we explained that we actually work seperately. They insisted that we both photograph their wedding and thus the “Dream Team” was born. Doug Williams and I started photographing wedding in 2001 together when we were both film photographers, and starting in 2004, we brached out and both are main photographers at the weddings. It is not often that we get to work together, so we love the dream team concept. Two head shooters! Doug and I loved working with Dennis and Kristin. They were so fun-loving and easy going. And of course it is always such a joy working at Scottsdale’s beautiful Sassi! The stunning flowers were provided by Ever After Florals.
